Nathan Tinkler’s Buildev Invests in Sleepy Wonthaggi, Victoria
As part of the deal, which has been on the cards for some years, Buildev will pay an approximate $2.2 million settlement to the state treasury, to have a restrictive clause removed prohibiting the land be used for sporting purposes only.
Buildev will construct a revamped, reconfigured 6000 metre golf course on the remaining golf club land. A new clubhouse will be built on what is now the eighth hole green. It’s appointed renowned golf course designer Cashmore, whose other work includes the Henley course at the Heritage Golf and Country Club, the Thirteenth Beach Golf Links at Barwon Heads (designed in conjunction with golf legend Nick Faldo) and The Dunes Golf Links at Rye.
