Banjo Bond fills chunk of homemaker centre

Cosgrove Group has filled a major vacancy at a north east Perth homemaker centre (pictured, top) bought last April.

4WD Supacentre has leased 2144 square metres, or about nine per cent, of the Midland Grove complex.

It will be the retailer’s 30th national store.

With the commitment, the large format retail asset formerly known a HomeCo Midland is fully leased.

Cosgrove is led by Banjo Bond, grandson of Alan Bond and son of John, who established diversified fund manager Primewest which merged with Centuria in 2021 (story continues below).

Now fully leased

Cosgrove bought Midland Gate from HMC Capital, which held it in the Daily Needs REIT (HDN); the result was inline with book value. Two months ago, the same pair traded HomeCo Warners Bay near Newcastle (an asset also controlled by HDN).

Midland is about 15 kilometres from the CBD.
