David Devine leases unique space for sales suite
David Devine has leased the upper level of the North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club as a sales suite for his Burly Residences apartment building, earmarked for a site 100 metres diagonally adjacent.
The choice of showroom is believed to be a first for the country; it is definitely for the Gold Coast, according to the builder.
With its own street entrance facing the beach, the area will be configured with a full sized apartment, gallery with an example kitchen, butler’s pantry and bathroom.
An “immersion room” will feature a video, Meet the Makers, showcasing amongst other things, views – to 270 degrees – and the anticipated high-end amenity.
Total Property Group is marketing Burly Residences for Mr Devine’s DD Living.
“The sales gallery is situated on the absolute beach front at North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Clib, which gives buyers a true sense of what it will feel like to own a rare piece of paradise,” the sales agent, Adrian Parsons, of Total Property Group, representing Mr Devine’s DD Living, said.
Burleigh Heads is about 11 kilometres south of Surfers Paradise.
Bulked up project
Some 101 dwellings are planned as part of the 24 storey Koichi Takada Architects Burly Residences tower earmarked for 264-268 The Esplanade – starting from $2.1 million for a 141 square metre unit.
Also with two floors of resident amenity including a six star resort with a pool, sun beds, gym, peloton room, steam room, sauna, yoga and Pilates lounge, and a cinema, casual and formal dining rooms, teppanyaki bar and offices, the end value is put at c$480 million – a rise of about 20 per cent on when an application was lodged for it, two years ago next week (story continues below).
The site is an amalgamation of two blocks containing a total 2024 sqm with 40 metres of beach frontage.
Until two years ago, DD Living only held one (#264, spreading 1012 sqm) which was earmarked for Alba, a smaller tower, with 21 units.
Lifestyle for sale
Elsewhere on the Gold Coast, DD Living is completing a 38 level luxury apartment building, Royale, with 104 dwellings, at 7-9 Northcliffe Terrace, Surfers Paradise.
The end value of that project has been put at c$435m.
“Working with our sales team, Total Property Group, we have created an interactive display for apartment buyers…interested in taking the next step in their journey towards an apartment at Burly,” Mr Devine said of the North Burleigh Surf Club tenancy.
“The sales gallery…has been designed to allow buyers to immerse themselves in Burly’s luxury style and surrounds,” he added.
“We encourage visitors to also enjoy a good meal while they take in the breathtaking views from the North Burleigh Surf Club and get a little taste of what living at Burly will feel like,” according to the executive.
