Kogan founder invests again in Toorak

The Toorak maisonettes occupy 617 square metres.

Kogan founder Ruslan Kogan is understood to be buying another Toorak property.

The side by side homes on one title, 32 and 32A St Georges Road, diagonally adjacent to Harry Stamoulis’ landmark estate, which replaced the Baillieu family home, cost $8.9 million in a deal agreed August.

On 617 square metres, it is speculated the land could make way for a contemporary dwelling, possibly for a family member.

The 1930s brick maisonettes presently on the site have a total six bedrooms, four bathrooms and two garages. The dwellings share a pool and driveway.

Jellis Craig’s Michael Armstrong and Nathan Waterson were the agents.

Toorak trifecta

The St Georges Rd deal comes three years since Mr Kogan paid $20m for a dwelling in the suburb for his parents (story continues below).

In 2018 meanwhile, the executive bought himself a family home on Chastleton Avenue – spending $38.8m – relocating from St Kilda Road’s distinctive Yve building.

Both these residences are contemporary.

Mr Kogan also owns a dramatic Flinders estate on two parcels which cost a total $15m in 2020.

Toorak, Melbourne’s priciest suburb measured by median value, is about five kilometres south east of the CBD.

St George Rd, with Albany and Clendon, are considered the region’s most exclusive streets.
