New-to-Australia car brands drive another lease deal
Demand for a swag of new-to-Australia car makes has driven another industrial lease deal.
This time, Lansvale Motor Group, which has dealerships selling Chinese makes LDV, GWM, and MG, has swooped on a Prestons warehouse ahead of a public marketing campaign.
The deal for the 1320 square metre building at 9 Avalli Road means landlord ME Investments won’t suffer any downtime.
JLL’s Adam Scimone was the agent.
Lansvale, which also trades in Mahindras (Vision Thar.e concept pictured, top), has finance, parts and service divisions too.
Leasing sector motoring along
The Prestons deal comes a month since we reported Tesla leased a warehouse in Melbourne, at the Braybrook/West Footscray border (story continue below).
That followed other rental agreements for car storage facilities near there – including another for CEVA at Truganina.
Last March meanwhile, again in the Victorian capital, car importer Neville Crichton purchased an amalgamation of Collingwood properties, with plans to occupy for his Ateco Group which holds the national rights to sell, amongst other makes, Alfa Romeo, BYD, Fiat, Jeep, LDV, RAM and Renault.
Zagame meanwhile has been opening a swag of showrooms nationally for Volkswagen Group’s Spanish performance car brand, Cupra, which arrived in Australia in mid-2022.
Prestons is about 30 kilometres west of Sydney’s CBD.
