Newsreader lists Southern Tablelands farm
Channel Seven newsreader Mark Ferguson has listed a Southern Tablelands sheep and cattle station after a decade.
Hazeldean at Crookwell carries $8.5 million price hopes.
Across 775.5 hectares, it includes a commercial component, subject to a contract management, and a historic homestead, able for the purchaser to use.
Col Medway and Tim Corcoran of LAWD are the agents.
Mr Ferguson and his wife, Jayne, paid $1.95m in December, 2014, then fully upgraded.
Hideaway with income
Hazeldean can accommodate an operational scale of 7650 dry sheep equivalents (story continues below).
Mr Medway added the property has previously carried 3000 merino ewes and 150 cows.
Abutting Phils River and Berells Creek – the latter with supports some 25 dams – there is over 1.3 kilometres of water frontage.
The Fergusons added fencing and improved livestock handling facilities.
The four bedroom homestead was also restored.
Hazelden is about 33 kilometres from central Crookwell, which is c230 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD.
