Popular German restaurant commits to maiden Melbourne space

The Richmond space was offered in three parts.

Popular Geelong German restaurant Das Bierhaus is coming to Melbourne

The operators have chosen a 575 square metre space, the ground floor of a modern office at 650 Bridge Road, Richmond, with the aim of opening this year.

Riverlee is the landlord – building the asset in 2006 on a site bought four years earlier.

Das Bierhouse has grown in popularity since opening last June in a historic bluestone building on Moorabool St, previously home to Italian restaurant, Azzura Trattoria.

It secured the Richmond area, originally being offered in three parts (story continues below).

Colliers’ Thomas Macrae and Ruby Koop were the agents.

The deal comes a month since reported German association, Club Tivoli-Deutscher Verein – Victoria’s oldest ethnic base – sold its Windsor base of 36 years to an apartment developer.
